Still mirin - The Zyzz phenomenon

When I first heard the name of this guy on bodyduilder and fitness  platforms I though he must be a new talented athlete. It was easy to see that everytime his name is mentioned, a freaky emotional explosion is guaranteed. Who’s that guy? How come I’ve never heard about him or his results? I know all the big guns but I’ve never heard his name before.
Ok, let’s google it! I typed his name, but I was not prepared for the towering tsunami. Zyzz in the gym, Zyzz on the beach, Zyzz everywhere, Zyzz raving, mirin, brah, fuark, what?

Crazy. Ok this is strange, someting fresh, extraordinary but most importantly: cool. Especially among youngsters. Well I’m not surprised. The guy is goodloking, exotic, ripped to the bone and aesthetic like hell.. But many people got these attributes. How did he acheive this level of fame and succes?

In my opinion the most important thing in his popularity was that he didn’t afraid to be different. I know it may sund cliché, because every bodybuilder claims that they want to be different. But actually they are doing the opposite. Most of the bodybuilders live like a solitary man, hiding in the gyms under their hoodies, doing their  boring daily routines.
Zyzz was different. He was partying all the time, enjoyed life in every way and he was not affraid to show it. He was interesting, provocative, funny and above all of that: girls loved him. Summarazing he was everything a classic body builder couldn’t be. Zyzz became the aesthetic hero of the young generation.

But what about the old school gymgoers?  The generation of the classic bodybuilding were totally pissed off. They couldn’t handle this phenomenon and started spitting at him and his followers. This confrontation was boosting the buzz. But the tragicomical thing is that the most crucial episode of the zyzz cult was definetely his unfortunate death and the foggy circumstances of the incident.
Haters were immediately yelling roids and this indicated new arguments about Zyzz. His name is still alive. Youngsters still mirin him, haters still hatin, and this is how Zyzz made it. Too bad he is dead.
But here comes the question : is he the right role model for teenagers? Is it how a cool kid should behave and look like? A few years ago millions of guys were inspired by Arnold to grab the dumbbell and lift. Today’s teenagers have new ideals. This is how it works. Is may be normal. But maybe things go wrong.

Don’t be a hypocrate! Zyzz was not a saint but neither was Arnold. They are all role models, but for different generations. Anyway the achievements of this two people is not comparable. The only thing they are common is that everybody remember their names but for different reasons. And to tell the truth this is a privilege of a chosen few.

It's all about giving back

Hello Everyone! Nice to meet you. Welcome to my world!

My name is Péter Molnár. And I’m addicted to fitness.
Well, this was a short but meaningful description of myself.
Don't get me wrong, I’m not an other narcissist poser. I know you’re sick of these guys. Mee too.
It’s all about giving back.

I know there’s a  lot of guys out there being in the same boat and most of you can relate to my story and I truly believe my journey is really instructive for most of you.

I’ve started from nowhere and I’ve built something I’m proud of. There was no one on my side but my endless will. My heart and my mind helped me trhough my worst times.
The reason  I share my thoughs is the intention to help others avoiding to make the same mistakes I've done before. I’ve never had a trainer or a menthor or even a gym buddy. I was just lifting. On my own, for myself. I complemented my underpreparedness with passion and enthusiasm.
I had troubled times. I’ve never been a genetic champion. I’m an extra hard gainer guy. I’ve started lifting with 65 kgs (143 lbs). Now I’ve got a modestly shredded physique of 90 kg (198 lbs). I don’t say I’m satisfied. Propably I never will. But the fact that I have the knowledge to build something like this makes me more satisfied than anything else in this life.
I’ve started competing after 11 years of workout experience. I chose Men’s Physique because this category is close to my bodytype.

Fitness is a lifestyle for me. It’s the part of my everyday life, so I try to keep a shape whole year that’s satisfying and aesthetic, but getting better every year. My goal is to prove that you can reach a physique naturally that can make you feel good in your own skin. To present a lifestyle that gives balance in your work, regular life and your workout.

Because I work in the marketing department of a leading sport dietary supplement company, BioTechUSA, I have a line of sight to fitness industry. This is a field I love, and a field I'm actually in.
The world of fitness is appealing, gorgeous and looks charming from the outside but the other side of the coin is that it's full of pitfalls in the inside.

Everything that will be told here is my unvarnished opinion by my own experiences. No science, no broscience, no urban legends. Just strictly the real facts.
Follow my journey in the world of fitness!

Stay tuned for more info about my trainings, my diet and my attitude about this whole fitness thing. Watch out! I’m not an avarage fitness guy! My opinion may hurt your beliefs of bodybuilding. So open minded people are welcomed.
